Privacy Policy

1. What we process
We process information needed to operate the Service.
A) Merchant and store information
- Shop domain / store identifiers
- App settings and configuration (form fields, rules, offers, verification settings)
- Billing/plan status (handled via Shopify billing)
- Support communications and basic logs
B) Customer and order information (processed on behalf of the merchant)
Depending on how the merchant configures the form, the Service may process:
- Customer contact details (for example, name, phone, email, address)
- Order details (for example, products, quantities, totals, notes)
2. How we use information
- Provide the Service (display the form and create/forward order details to Shopify)
- Run enabled features (for example, upsells, order verification, recovery tools)
- Deliver enabled integrations (for example, export to Google Sheets, send messages via WhatsApp providers)
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
- Provide support to merchants
3. Data retention
Upvaro is designed to not permanently store customer personal data. Customer and order information is processed only for the time needed to perform the requested actions (for example, creating/forwarding an order, exporting to Sheets, or sending a WhatsApp message), then removed from our processing systems unless retention is required for security, debugging, or legal compliance.
Merchants remain responsible for any customer/order data stored in Shopify or third-party services they enable (for example, Google or WhatsApp providers).
4. Sharing and third parties
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- With Shopify to create/forward order data and operate the app
- With third-party services you enable (for example, Google Sheets, WhatsApp providers)
- With service providers that help us run the Service (hosting, monitoring), under confidentiality obligations
We do not sell personal information.
5. Google API Services Use
Our application allows merchants to optionally connect their Google account to export Shopify order data to Google Sheets.
When the Google Sheets integration is enabled, the application may create or update rows in a spreadsheet selected or created by the merchant. This functionality is used to help merchants automatically record and manage store orders.
The application only accesses Google Sheets after the merchant explicitly authorizes their Google account through the Google OAuth consent screen.
The application only uses Google Sheets access to write order information requested by the merchant. The application does not read, analyze, or use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purposes.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Merchant controls and customer requests
Merchants can change app settings inside Shopify admin and can uninstall the app at any time.
If a customer requests access to or deletion of their data, the merchant should contact us at support@upvaro.app and we will assist. Shopify may also send privacy-related webhooks (such as data access or deletion requests) to apps, and we will handle them according to Shopify’s requirements and applicable law.
8. International transfers
Information may be processed in countries other than the merchant’s country, depending on where our service providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date.
